WELCOME TO OUJI

Ouji Sushi, nestled in the heart of SoHo, a vibrant and trendy neighborhood in downtown Manhattan, exudes an aura of charm and sophistication. Tucked away on the underground level amidst a backdrop of historic buildings, this hidden gem beckons those in search of an authentic culinary experience. At the helm of Ouji Sushi is Chef Ben, a master of his craft hailing from Kaohsiung city in southwestern Taiwan. Despite his reserved demeanor, his passion for sushi is unmistakable. Embarking on his culinary journey in 2008 after completing high school, Chef Ben honed his skills at various sushi restaurants across New York and New Jersey before assuming the role of head chef in 2016. Seeking to refine his artistry, he joined the esteemed team at Satsuki’s omakase bar in 2020, only to face unforeseen challenges with the onset of the pandemic.Undeterred, Chef Ben seized the opportunity to realize his culinary vision by founding Ouji Sushi, where he showcases his unique interpretation of sushi cuisine. With each meticulously crafted dish, Chef Ben invites diners on a journey of flavor and tradition, blending his Taiwanese heritage with the diverse culinary landscape of New York City.
